If we have not stressed enough how important it is to get your business on social media then here it is, GET ON SOCIAL! Seriously, it is the way of the future! Your modern customers are demanding it, so you might as well hop on the bandwagon now. Social media is an evolving group of platforms that is deemed essential to your business.
Did you know, Over 200 million people visit at least one Instagram Business page every day? Therefore, if you aren’t using these platforms, you are completely missing out on a massive amount of potential customers and opportunities. Now, it is not as simple as saying you need to be on ALL social media channels. Narrow it down– these social media platforms have the most monthly active users, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest. Depending on the type of content your customers interact with will help you decide what platform you should join.
Here are the social media platforms you should consider joining and how they can benefit your business:
Facebook: This is the largest platform with probably the most diverse set of people actively using it. Facebook has over 2 billion monthly active users. Instagram: The ‘gram is a great place to go to visually show your audience who you are as a company. Instagram offers an excellent place to display your brand’s personality. Be creative with your visuals and have some fun!
Twitter: This is an extremely fast-pace platform. Need to share news quickly? Twitter is your go-to avenue. This is where you should be sharing short, sweet and to the point news. Stick to being informative and giving people the information they need to hear. Lose the words, get to the point. Keep in mind your audience is younger here, most likely under 50.
LinkedIn: This platform is used for professional profiles and businesses. This is where you seek job opportunities and companies share open opportunities, achievements and business insider news. It is a great platform for networking and gaining connections to grow your business. You’ll want to have your best foot forward on this site, you never know who’s prospecting.

With the information above, consider your target market and where they might be spending most of their time.
