Client Spotlight: Frank Crivello, SBMA Benefits

Frank Crivello is the founder and CEO of SBMA Benefits. SBMA provides affordable ACA-compliant benefit packages to employer groups. Their goal is to meet ACA mandates while providing excellent service and accessibility.

The Digital Storyteller team has been working with Frank and the team at SBMA since August of 2019. In that time we have developed their website, managed their site blog, built social media platforms from the ground up, performed ongoing lead outreach, supported the redesign of their proposals and proposal-delivery system, built an online internal content library, and overall successfully managed their marketing strategy for their brand.

We talked to Frank to get his perspective on the partnership with Digital Storyteller and how our work has helped support his business’s growth and presence online. Read on to see what he has to say.

Our partnership with Digital Storyteller has helped us define our brand and differentiate from other MEC providers. The health insurance industry is competitive and challenging to break through the noise and reach new clients.

I put my trust in the Digital Storyteller team to do what they do best. I know that SBMA is an expert in our own field but we hired DS to do their job for a reason. We have allowed the DS team to take the reins and implement a marketing strategy that aligns with our company goals and purpose but simultaneously allows them the freedom to produce results.

In our bi-monthly meetings, we are able to touch base and share our ideas with them and new projects that we have upcoming or things that we want to see implemented. The team at Digital Storyteller has been quick to implement new ideas where applicable whether it be with regard to our video strategy, email outreach, or even working directly with our brokers to support their outreach.

Since starting our partnership about a year ago, we’ve seen great results from Digital Storyteller. When we first started we did not have an SEO strategy and therefore were not ranking on Google searches.  The keywords we did show up for weren’t bringing us the traffic we were really looking for. Now, we show up first on Google searches for MEC and we are ranking for relevant keywords that are driving significant organic traffic to our site.

The implementation and upkeep of the blog on our site serve a dual purpose of both bringing traffic to the site through organic search and serving as a resource to answer questions for both our brokers and our plan providers.

Thank you, Frank and the SBMA team for your partnership over the past year. We are thrilled to work with you and look forward to continuing to support the ongoing growth of your business. Is your business an ALE? Contact SBMA to get ACA-compliant benefits for your employees that save you money on ACA penalties and get your employees the benefits they actually use and can afford.
