Are you Embarrassed to Send People to Your Website?

Your website is made of clipart and is unresponsive. Are you aware of what this does to your businesses reputation? Are you aware it’s outdated and whoever designed it forgot to check its fluidity and usability? Without clear purpose, outline and direction, a successful website is not in the books for you. Therefore, leads and future business is going to be sparse or nonexistent. So, do yourself a favor and do not bandaid fix your website or the design. It could lead you to embarrassment of your own website.

Website Functionality

There are always snags that developers and designers run into when building websites, especially during the design process. In order to meet deadlines and ensure launches are complete on time, shortcuts are often made (not recommended) to make it to the finish line. Say you sacrificed some functionality on your website in order to make your go-live date. Now that your website has launched, odds are you forgot about that functionality and now your website is live and suffering. Your site will thank you as long as you make sure to go back and update any of those little sacrifices you made shortly after launch day.

Looks Pretty but Doesn’t Work

You lost communication with your web designer and now your website looks nothing like you had envisioned. Moreover, it’s lacking CTAs (call to action) and you’re quickly melting inside because of how much you paid for all of this to happen. Designers are wonderful to work with, until you give them no direction or purpose. Unless you sit down with your web designer to go over your needs, you may just end up with a pretty front facing website that has no purpose for your audience. Important things to note with your web designer are ease of navigation, search engine friendly, resourceful for your visitors, and of course visually appealing.

Customer Experience

You’ve realized your website was created on having a foundation for best user experience by everyone but your user. You cannot expect to create a user friendly site without an actual user experience and collection of feedback. Creating a site based on company feedback is not recommended. Company feedback runs you the risk of having a complete nonuser friendly website because your team knows everything there is to know so navigating the site is easy to interpret. You must put yourself in the shoes of your audience. Imagine you know nothing about financial services and you are looking for an advisor or bank to switch to. This is where having an outside set of eyes will help ensure your message is clear and your site is easy to navigate for any outsiders.

Mobile Responsive

Last but not least, you may be embarrassed to send anyone to your site because it’s NOT mobile responsive! Honestly, it’s 2020 and that is really embarrassing. How many times have you searched new businesses on your phone in passing? Multiple?  Okay exactly, imagine the experience you’re giving those searching your website on their mobile device.  so let’s get this fixed ASAP. Call our team of storytelling experts and ensure your website does not fall by the wayside and get caught up in the many issues presented above.
